French Polynesia is a French territory in the middle of the Pacific Ocean, covering a vast surface of 2.500.000 kilometres square.
Made up of 118 islands, the emerged surface represents only 4167 kilometres square. Inhabited by 260.000 people, the territory is composed of 5 administrative divisions:
The Windward Islands, the Leeward islands -which the archipelago of Tahiti is the best known and the most inhabited (80%) of the Marquesas islands, the Tuamotu-Gambier islands, the Southern islands.
The main business port of French Polynesia is PAPEETE. Its yearly trade is about 1.800.000 tones. The local economy is based on tourism and the pearl culture.
TRAMAR ATI established its own office there in 2002. Its activities are: transports arrangements, reception/dispatch of all kinds of goods, customs formalities, deliveries throughout the territory, handlings, removals.
Being a younger office than New Caledonia, TRAMAR handles 2000 cubic meters of consolidated freight from its ROUEN operational platform to PAPEETE. From PAPEETE, we arrange the reforwardings towards the main islands of French Polynesia.
Full containers, roll-on and static break bulk, airfreight from/to all destinations are parts of our job every day as well.
TRAMAR POLYNESIA introduced its dynamism and its savoir-faire within the context of the trades with the closer countries: Australia and New Zealand.
We set up regular consolidated airfreights and seafreights from SYDNEY / BRISBANE / MELBOURNE / AUCKLAND towards PAPEETE.
We arrange and follow up the consolidation containers from the main Asian and American ports to SYDNEY, our consolidation hub.
The principles of TRAMAR ATI in PAPEETE can be summed up in 3 words: simplicity, reactivity, effectiveness.
